Emily Marthinsen
Emily Marthinsen is a Brookwood Senior Consultant. Prior to working with Brookwood she was with UC Berkeley, serving as Assistant Vice Chancellor, Physical & Environmental Planning (2005-2018) and Campus Architect (2014-2019). She was responsible for implementing UC Berkeley’s 2020 Long Range Development Plan and other strategic design plans including campus/city planning and real estate development initiatives.
For the Office of Physical and Environmental Planning she led, managed planning, design and initial development phases of campus building and landscape projects including program and project definition options analysis , feasibility and technical assessment. Her portfolio included capital planning, transportation planning and UC Berkeley’s Office of Sustainability.
As Campus Architect and Planner, she was also responsible for design review, environmental entitlement under the California Environmental Quality Act and the campus project approval process.
