Robert Bunker

Bob Bunker is a Brookwood Senior Consultant. He has more than 55 years of Program, Project and Organizational Management experience in both government service and private industry serving both public and private sector clients. Prior to joining Brookwood and his most recent position as Chief Executive Officer of TGA Technologies, Inc., Bob served in a variety of positions, including:

Senior Vice President, Brown & Root: Created, organized and managed for five years a unifying, multi-business Corporate Region in Asia from a Singapore base, with shared Profit/Loss responsibility on all projects in a Region including some 27 countries and territories. Integrated local and U.S. Brown & Root planning/design/construction capabilities with a series of joint venture relationships to accomplish projects ranging from development of off-shore oil and gas recovery to petrochemical and power plants. Following this assignment He spent fourteen months in Hungary and the Balkans as Brown & Root’s Theater Director providing construction, services and logistics support to deployed U.S. and foreign Army and Air Force units in more than forty locations in Bosnia, Hungary and Croatia. Secret Clearance.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers: Retired as a Major General. Senior level experience was balanced between Corps of Engineers (Planning/Design/Construction support of projects for U.S. and foreign nations) and Department of the Army executive management functions. Served as Commanding General of two, $1+ Billion/year engineer divisions: South Atlantic Division (Southeastern U.S., Caribbean, Central/South America, Africa & Middle East); and Pacific Ocean Division (Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Johnston Atoll, Guam & Trust Territories). Oversaw projects ranging from expansion of Wilmington, NC harbor to major dam construction in Puerto Rico to construction of a major air base for the Emir of Bahrain. Also served as the Army’s Director of Management.

Earlier Army design and construction experience included command of the Corps’ Far East District in Korea (primarily design and construction of air base and cantonment facilities), Mobile District (including planning, real estate procurement and initial design and environmental work on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway). Vietnam service included responsibility, through direct supervision of a Leo A. Daly design firm contract, for providing design and construction oversight for projects constructed by engineer troop units throughout the country.

Other experience includes: command of the 950 engineer soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division and appointment as the Army’s Project Manager/Nuclear Safety Officer/Commander for the design, construction Atomic Energy Commission approval, and initial operation of a one-of-a-kind floating nuclear power plant. Board Member and Director of Research for The Civic League of Regional Atlanta; Board Member of Transition House, Inc (providing for homeless veterans) and Neighborhood Nexus.
